EXPO CHICAGO Announces 2024 Program Curators

EXPO CHICAGO, the International Exposition of Contemporary and Modern Art, has announced program curators for the 11th edition (April 11–14, 2024) returning to Navy Pier's Festival Hall. EXPO CHICAGO's program dedicated to large-scale sculpture, video, film, and site-specific works throughout Festival Hall, IN/SITU, will be curated by Amara Antilla, Senior Curator at Large at the Contemporary Arts Center (CAC) in Cincinnati.
The Washington Ballet Will Continue Their Season With BALANCHINE + ASHTON

The Washington Ballet continues their bold 2019.20 season with BALANCHINE + ASHTON February 19-23 at The Kennedy Center Eisenhower Theater. The program features a suite of contrasting masterworks by two of the most influential choreographers of the 20th century: George Balanchine and Sir Frederick Ashton. Marcelo Gomes, an international ballet star, will make a special guest appearance.

MILES ELECTRIC BAND - Progressive All-Star ensemble featuring Miles Davis alumni revises the framework for modern jazz improvisation. The avant-garde collective revisits repertoire from Davis' electric period to pay homage to The Chief. The band represents two generations of players: Davis' contemporaries and the next generation. This is a rotating ensemble of master musicians.

Programming runs July 12-Aug.10 and includes a Thursday evening Family Movie Series, the Thursday evening WDCB Live Jazz Concert Series and a Friday evening Pop Music Series. One of the highlights of the Friday evening series promises to be the July 20 New Philharmonic pops concert, which will be broadcast on Facebook Live for the second year in a row.
