HISTORY FILMS(TM), RADiUS-TWC and PARTICIPANT MEDIA in association with Moxie Pictures will team up for THE UNKNOWN KNOWN: THE LIFE AND TIMES OF DONALD RUMSFELD, a feature documentary directed by Academy Award winner Errol Morris (The Fog of War; A Brief History of Time; The Thin Blue Line). The project was announced today by Nancy Dubuc, President and General Manager of HISTORY(R); Tom Quinn and Jason Janego, Co-Presidents of RADiUS-TWC; and Jim Berk, Chief Executive Officer of PARTICIPANT MEDIA. The film will be released theatrically next year in North America by RADiUS -TWC, the Weinstein Company's multi-platform label.

Two Los Angeles based institutions, Vox Femina Los Angeles and CONTRA-TIEMPO, joined forces on Saturday, March 19th with a production of NUESTRA VOCES at the Zipper Concert Hall. The Herbert Zipper Concert Hall at The Colburn School was completed in 1998, making it about 70 years younger than LACO's other regular concert venues.

Under the collaborative efforts of both Vox Femina Los Angeles' Artistic Director, Dr. Iris S. Levine, and CONTRA-TIEMPO's Artistc Director, Ana Maria Alvarez, Vox Femina second concert of their new season offers a performance that is a syncopated, sensual, sumptuous program of music and dance that may just have you dancing in the aisles! Vox collaborates with CONTRA-TIEMPO, a unique Latin dance theatre ensemble based in Los Angeles. The ensemble is dedicated to transforming the world through dance. Together, with Vox Femina Los Angeles, the two artistic groups will combine in the presentation of works that are the result of a shared exploration of one another's art form. The performance will also feature each ensemble showcasing its own art form. Other instrumental performers include the highly respected talents of Cristian Graces and Robert Fernandez. Concert contents include the music of Argentina, Venezuela, Dominican Republic, Peru, Brazil, Uruguay, Colombia and Latin dances such as Merengue, Tango, Joropo, Baiao as well as Vox favorites Duerme Negrito, Maquerule, Maximina and Te Quiero.
Vox Femina & Contra-Tempo Hold Free Workshop
On Sunday January 30, 2011 from 2-5pm, children and parents alike gathered at Cantwell Sacred Heart High School (329 N. Garfield Ave, Montebello, CA 90640) who wanted to learn to sing like a Vox member or to dance the Mergengue? The FREE workshop featured choral group favorite Vox Femina singers and the fabulous dancers from CONTRA-TIEMPO! It didn't really matter if participants were tone-deaf or born with two left feet, because the event was geared for fun! An eclectic crowd gathered to try to make some magic. Described by Vox Femina's Artistic Director, Dr. Iris Levine, as 'A doozy of a time for the whole family!'
