MEANWHILE, BACK AT THE SUPER LAIR... By Greg Kalleres Gets LA Premiere At The New American Theatre
The New American Theatre (NAT) will present the Los Angeles premiere of Greg Kalleres' (Honky) comedy Meanwhile, Back at the Super Lair... at the award-winning company's new Hollywood venue. New American Theatre's artistic director Jack Stehlin directs. The production will open Saturday, May 26 and runs through Saturday, June 23. ' Super Lair' will be presented independently and then will be offered as a Hollywood Fringe Festival show.

Proving that money makes their world go around, financial advisors bicker about the falling stock market and how to best keep making money as their clients are losing their portfolios. With each desiring to be at the top of his game, none is safe from the backstabbing devised to make sure only the cream of the crop rises to the top no matter the cost to anyone else. "It's not how smart you are, it's how smart the world thinks you are" seems to be motto of these cutthroat sharks.

Culver City residents and married couple Jack Stehlin and Jeannine Wisnosky Stehlin are getting ready to open Shakespeare's OTHELLO, a co-production between the Odyssey Theatre and The New American Theatre, on Friday, October 24 at the Odyssey Theatre. Jeannine, Managing Director of The New American Theatre, is producing OTHELLO together with Ron Sossi, Artistic Director of the Odyssey Theatre, with Jack starring as the villainous Iago. With his strong physical presence and background as part Mexican and part Native American, A Martinez is playing Othello, the Moor. The production is directed by John Perrin Flynn, Artistic Director of Rogue Machine Theatre.

The summer theater season wouldn't be complete without multiple interpretations of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream to quench our appetite for the Bard's most beloved comedy. I have never seen a production more understandable or better staged than the current one at the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble presented by the New American Theatre, directed by Jack Stehlin.
