Review: THE MINUTES at Stray Cat Theatre
As presented by Stray Cat Theatre as its 23rd season opener, THE MINUTES, a blistering satire of small-town city council meetings, begins as one thing and concludes as something completely different. And no matter what clues or giveaways you think you might have picked up on throughout the play, you won't be prepared for the emotional wallop that will eventually come. And you may not fully recover from its uncomfortable implications, either.

EDINBURGH 2019: BWW Review: WE APOLOGISE FOR THE INCONVENIENCE, PQA Venues @ Riddle's Court
Douglas Adams, beloved writer of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, was notoriously terrible at sticking to deadlines. Perennially quotable, he claimed to love 'the whooshing sound they make as they go by'. The premise of Room 5064's short play, We Apologise For The Inconvenience, imagines Adams, late once again in submitting a manuscript, locked in a hotel room by his publisher until he finishes the series' fourth outing; the book that would be released as So Long, And Thanks For All The Fish.

BWW Review: MEET ME IN ST LOUIS at the Hale
The Hale's newest offering is a holiday confection - sweet and delicious - like a freshly shaken up, edible snow globe. Director Cambrian James has put together his finest (thus far) staging of the season. On the marvelous arena stage in Gilbert, the tight, swift-paced send up of the classic 1944 film is enchanting, from overture to finale.
