Television and film star Maude Apatow (HBO's 'Euphoria', Netflix's 'Hollywood') has kicked off her run as 'Audrey' in the Off-Broadway hit, Little Shop of Horrors. California Shakespeare Theater marks the beginning of its 25th season at the glorious Bruns Amphitheater with Shakespeare's sassiest battle royale, Much Ado About Nothing, in a newly-minted adaptation by Kenneth Lin and Jackson Gay, with additional text by Lin, and directed by Gay in her Cal Shakes debut. Yesterday, September 20, The Broadway League and The Coalition of Broadway Unions and Guilds (COBUG) presented the third annual Broadway Salutes, a public celebration recognizing the countless professionals who have made Broadway great for decades. In this industry-wide celebration, theater professionals received special recognition for having worked 25, 35, and 50+ years in their respective theatrical craft. The event featured performances by Raul Esparza and Leslie Uggams. Kathleen Marshall, Bebe Neuwirth and City Council Speaker Christine Quinn were the afternoon's special guests.

On Tuesday, September 20, 2011, The Broadway League and The Coalition of Broadway Unions and Guilds (COBUG) will present the third annual Broadway Salutes, a public celebration recognizing the countless professionals who have made Broadway great for decades. In this industry-wide celebration, which takes place at 4:30 PM, theater professionals will receive special recognition for having worked 25, 35, and 50+ years in their respective theatrical craft. The event will feature performances by Raul Esparza and Leslie Uggams. Kathleen Marshall and City Council Speaker Christine Quinn, are special guests with other participants soon to be announced.

Due to the impending weather forecast of rain, Broadway Salutes will now take place at the Times Square Visitors Center (7th Avenue between 46th and 47th Street - between The Palace Theatre and McDonalds) this Tuesday, September 20, 2011, The Broadway League and The Coalition of Broadway Unions and Guilds (COBUG) will present the third annual Broadway Salutes, a public celebration recognizing the countless professionals who have made Broadway great for decades. In this industry-wide celebration, which begins with a meet and greet at 3:30PM and takes place at 4:30 PM, theater professionals will receive special recognition for having worked 25, 35, and 50+ years in their respective theatrical craft.
