Student Blog: Victoria Fragnito's SCAR TISSUE is a Simple Yet Powerful Play
Scar Tissue is a play that revolves around two roommates, Jessica (playwright Victoria Fragnito) and Sam (Rita McCann), each going through their own struggles in dealing with toxic relationships from their pasts. Jessica is attempting to break free from the memories of a man she dated in college, Luke (Nick Ritacco), a man who haunts her current relationship with Jack (Brandon Ford Green). Sam, on the other hand, is struggling with her relationship with her sister, Hannah (Jillian Vitko), who abandoned her in a time of need. When both women have to face their pasts head-on, truths are revealed and realities are shattered, threatening the relationship between the two roommates.
Cast Announced for SCAR TISSUE at the Players Theatre
Announced today is the world premiere of Scar Tissue, a bold new play by Victoria Fragnito, who makes her NYC playwrighting debut. Featuring direction by Jenn Susi and music by Kristin Sgarro, Scar Tissue is set to premiere on the Steve and Marie Sgouros Theatre at The Players Theatre (115 MacDougal Street) with performances beginning Thursday, January 13, and set to run through Sunday, January 30, 2022.
No Name Collective Presents THE TEMPEST
No Name Collective presents Shakespeare's classic The Tempest as their 2019 summer production. Co-Directed by Tessa Barlow-Ochshorn and Allison Houser, this production opens for a two week run on August 1st at the Gallery Space at Access Theatre.
THE MORTALITY MACHINE Extends Through February 24 at Wildrence
Due to popular demand the World Premiere of The Mortality Machine, an immersive theatrical experience created by Ryan Hart, Tommy Honton, and Lara Marcin, presented by Sinking Ship Creations in association with Acronym Presents at Wildrence (59 Canal Street between Allen and Orchard, New York, NY 10002) announced today that they will extend performances through February 24.
THE MORTALITY MACHINE: An Immersive Theatrical Experience To Premiere at Wildrence 1/10-2/3
Sinking Ship Creations in association with Acronym Presents and Wildrence will present the World Premiere of The Mortality Machine, an immersive theatrical experience created by Ryan Hart, Tommy Honton, and Lara Marcin, at Wildrence (59 Canal Street between Allen and Orchard, New York, NY 10002), January 10-February 3, 2019. Performances will be Tuesday through Sunday at 7pm (dark Mondays). Tickets ($125) are available for advance purchase at www.themortalitymachine.com or by calling 917-336-9236. Discounts for students, military, and seniors are available via the Sinking Ship Creations mailing list (sign up at www.sinkingshipcreations.com). The experience will last approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes, with no intermission.
