Chicago Humanities Festival Sets Additional Presenters for 2016 Fallfest
With the 2016 Fallfest, Speed, fast approaching, the Chicago Humanities Festival is eager to announce the addition of several newsmakers, cultural commentators, and tastemakers to its line-up of more than 100 programs. The presenters include public intellectual Melissa Harris-Perry, appearing in conjunction with Illinois Humanities, New York Timesbestselling writer Mary Roach, Invisible Man Got the Whole World Watching author Mychal Denzel Smith, Fat Rice partners Abraham Conlon and Adrienne Lo, and a David Bowieand Prince-themed musical tribute.

In a reprise of a beloved holiday classic children's story, First Stage features The Best Christmas Pageant Ever on the Todd Wehr Stage at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts to celebrate December. In this play for anyone who ever felt unloved, the horrible Herdman family returns with Imogene, Ralph, Ollie, Claude, Leroy and tiny Gladys Herdman. to enliven the First Stage production with their unconventioanl personalities. The charming retelling of the ancient Christmas story reminds audiences the wildest hearts can be reclaimed through the power of patience and understanding.

German Stage presents this hilarious comedy about a globalizing world, The Golden Dragon, featuring Nael Nacer, Patrick Shea, Paula Plum, Phil Tayler and Tiffany Chen, directed by Guy Ben-Aharon. There will be a Q&A following the performance as well as a reception
