Lightheaded Releases Debut LP 'Combustible Gems'
Lightheaded are, simply, a great pop group. Their songs are full of melody and harmony, are bittersweet and memorable, familiar yet original. Their sound is a perfect mix of jangling guitars -- featuring Sara Abdlebarry's exquisite, tasteful, but punchy Gretsch lead played over Stephen Stec's Rickenbacker chime -- anchored to singer Cynthia Rickenbach's Hofner Violin bass, which sounds like the bass on Michel Polnareff's first LP. Marty Stuart released his new song “Sitting Alone” from his forthcoming album. Stuart is currently in the midst of a nationwide headlining tour that resumes this Friday, March 24 in St. Louis, MO before performing at Stagecoach Festival on April 29 and hitting the road with Chris Stapleton this summer. Singer-songwriters/multi-instrumentalists The Mastersons are premiering the first single from their upcoming Red House album, NO TIME FOR LOVE SONGS, today with The Bluegrass Situation. When they're not touring the world as valued longtime members of Steve Earle's band the Dukes, the musical and marital twosome of Chris Masterson and Eleanor Whitmore make inspired albums of their own emotionally vivid, deeply humanistic songs. The duo recorded the song, 'Eyes Open Wide,' at L.A.'s legendary Sunset Sound Recorders with Shooter Jennings and it was engineered and mixed by five-time Grammy Award-winning engineer, Ryan Freeland.

TheatreZone, a Naples-based professional equity theatre specializing in Broadway musicals and celebrating its 15th season, will present the Florida premiere of Tonya & Nancy: The Rock Opera February 6-16, 2020. Performances are scheduled for 7:30p.m. on Feb. 6-9 and 13-16; 2:00 p.m. matinee performances will be presented on Feb. 8-9 and 15-16.

Kiwi Jr. Shares New Song 'Football Money'
Toronto's Kiwi Jr. have released the title-track off their forthcoming album Football Money. The single highlights the bands penchant for crafting infectious indie-rock/garage pop that will stick in your brain on repeat. Northern Transmissions premiered “Football Money” and Kiwi Jr. told them “we came up with the concept for this song while in an Uber XL loaded up with all of our gear on the way to a gig at the Silver Dollar (r.i.p.) in Toronto - the driver was going on about how much soccer player Paul Pogba was being paid and we started thinking about the weight of 'football money' as controlled, or scaled currency by which to measure things. Musically we came up with something like Superchunk meets the Clean, but I distinctly remember trying to sound early Misfits in the early demo stages.”
