As SYREN celebrates its 20-year anniversary, the company will present Ithaka, a nine-section modern dance created by Kate Sutter in collaboration with the dancers of SYREN and set to the lively and dynamic music of LA-based composer and producer Calimossa.

Conductor Rick Erickson and the Bach Orchestra will perform the six instrumental works known as the Brandenburg Concertos in two performances on March 10 and April 14, 2023, at 7pm at the Museum of Fine Arts Houston.

Galveston's First Lutheran Church To Host Bach Society Concert
The renowned Bach Society of Houston will present a special matinee concert at Galveston’s First Lutheran Church on Saturday, May 15, 3.30pm, in the church sanctuary. First Lutheran is located on the corner of 25th & Winnie Street - in historic downtown Galveston. This concert is open to the public. Guests are required to sanitize hands, wear masks and socially distance.

Festival performances include the Houston debut of ensemble Profeti della Quinta, performing works of Salomone Rossi, an Italian Jewish composer who broke barriers of discrimination in the late Renaissance to become a renowned composer of the Mantuan court of the Gonzagas, a multi-media collaboration with Museum of Fine Arts Houston for Rameau's Les Indes galantes, motets from the Bach family as well as J.S. Bach's virtuosic cantata Jauchzet Gott in allen Landen for soprano and trumpet.
