Since receiving her B. F.A. in Music -Theatre from Carnegie Mellon University,
Richel Kompst has enjoyed a career that has taken her around the world. Ms. Kompst played the Factory Girl, understudying Cossette in Les Miserables. In San Francisco, she was seen on stage at the Great American Music Hall, The Plush Room, in Beach Blanket Babylon and in her critically acclaimed portrayal of Rose in Song of Singapore. In LA, Richel enjoyed successful runs of All That He Was, The Gay 90's Musical, Forbidden Broadway and Forbidden Hollywood. Upon moving to Las Vegas, Richel joined her Forbidden friends for a 7 month engagement of Forbidden Vegas. . As producer and co-owner of SoulSings Productions, Richel has produced two CDs, Concerts for Non-Profit organizations and her Solo Show Blame it on the Walleye…A Musical Journey Through the Neurotic Mind of a Norwegian Blonde. In 2011, Richel joined the Menopause the Musical family performing all four of the roles for the Las Vegas production. 2 roles of note in recent years, woven carefully into her current performance schedule have been the “Carol Burnett” role in Putting it Together at the Smith Center and the role of Sarah in Company in Concert at the LVH. She is truly grateful for her hunky hubby and “partner in crime” Steve and her amazingly gifted teachers, Oliver and Abigayle Kompst!
