Showtime Documentary Films Announces Premiere of 16 SHOTS
Showtime Documentary Films today announced it will premiere the new documentary 16 SHOTS from Academy Award® nominated director Richard Rowley (Dirty Wars) on Friday, June 14 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The feature examines the 2014 shooting of 17-year-old Laquan McDonald by Chicago police officer Jason Van Dyke and the cover-up that ensued. After the police initially declared the shooting as justified, journalists and activists fought for footage of the event to be released, sending the Chicago Police Department and local Chicago government officials into upheaval as the community demanded justice. Rowley's film dissects the cover-up through first-hand witness accounts which led to the unprecedented conviction that fractured the political landscape of Chicago.

EPIX, an MGM company, today announced that Gretchen Carlson, acclaimed journalist and empowerment advocate, Diane Guerrero (Orange is the New Black), Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreation), Jussie Smollett (Empire) and Martin Sensmeier (Westworld) have been named as the new correspondents for the second season of the critically-acclaimed documentary series America Divided. Gretchen Carlson and Jussie Smollett have also signed on as executive producers, alongside Norman Lear who is returning for his second season. The four-part series will premiere on EPIX later this year and is set to explore the most provocative news headlines and cultural topics in recent months.

David K O'Hara's lyrical dramatic monologue Now Until The Hour will play at the prestigious Summerhall (venue 26) at the 2014 Edinburgh Festival Fringe. David K O'Hara may be based in New York but is no stranger to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. His play Book Ends was performed at Summerhall in its inaugural year in 2011, and he has also had plays staged at London's King's Head Theatre and The Old Red Lion.
