NANA DOES VEGAS to be Presented at Meadow Brook Theatre

In 2018, Meadow Brook audiences met Nana and her entourage in Nana’s Naught Knickers. Now she’s back, this time for a run at Las Vegas. Nana and her sidekick, Vera, have taken a gamble and moved to Vegas, where they’re working as seamstresses for a show. What could possibly go wrong?

BWW Review: A COMEDY OF TENORS at Tipping Point Theatre is all Fun, Frenzy and Farce

Ken Ludwig, the master of farce, brings us A Comedy of Tenors, the sequel to his 1989 Tony-winning Lend Me a Tenor, which is running through December 23 at Tipping Point Theatre. If you haven't seen Lend Me a Tenor, fear not, as this script and production certainly stands on its own and you can enjoy it just as equally. And, of course, with every great farce-a la Neil Simon's Rumors and Marc Camoletti's Boeing Boeing-- comes a lot of door slamming (an integral part to Monika Essen's posh set) and mistaken identities pulled off with comical finesse by Tipping Point's cast of seven.

In the musical Burt & Me, Joe and Lacey were high school sweethearts, but when they attended different colleges, they drifted apart. Years later, they meet again, and Joe decides to win Lacey back. All it will take is a clever plan, a little bit of luck and the songs of Burt Bacharach.
Disney's NEWSIES to Open August 8 the Barn Theatre School

Leaping onto the Barn Theatre stage with soul stirring music, amazing heart, and stunning choreography is Disney's NEWSIES, August 8 - 20. The Tony Award-winning Broadway phenomenon. The show is based on the historical newsboy strike of 1899 that shook the ivory towers of William Randolph Hearst and Joseph Pulitzer.
ShawChicago Theater Presents G. Bernard Shaw's HEARTBREAK HOUSE

ShawChicago concludes its 2016/17 season, Dysfunctional Family Fun, with George Bernard Shaw's World War I dramedy Heartbreak House. In a Chekovian Fantasia style, Shaw presents a caricature of the 1910s British upper class obsession with propriety. "[Essentially] the upper class who should be the ruling class fiddles while the country falls apart," says Artistic Director Robert Scogin. This production runs March 4 through March 27 at the Ruth Page Center for the Arts, 1016 N. Dearborn Street, Chicago, IL 60610.

Theatre at the Center's production of Annie Warbucks, the sequel to Annie, the 1977 Tony Award-winning smash Broadway hit, opened to a packed house Sunday, November 20. Based on Harold Gray's Little Orphan Annie comic strip, the book is by Thomas Meehan with music by Charles Strouse and lyrics by Martin Charnin. Annie Warbucks opened Off Broadway in 1993 and broke records for the time with 200 performances.  The Jeff Recommended production will continue through December 18. ShawChicago to Stage James Barrie's Lost Epic SHAKESPEARE'S LEGACY

ShawChicago presents Shakespeare's People, a collection of the Bard's most coveted words, and the American premiere of James Barrie's lost epic, Shakespeare's Legacy. It premiered 100 years ago, was lost, and later uncovered at the University of Chicago library. This one-night performance is part of the Shakespeare 400 celebration in Chicago. It will take place on October 24 at the Ruth Page Center for the Arts, 1016 N. Dearborn Street, Chicago, IL 60610.
