Ben Frost and Richard Hough have been writing together since 2010. Their most recent commissions include an original story inspired by Goethe’s THE SORCERER’S APPRENTICE (for producer James Seabright). For Christmas 2015, they wrote a comic adaptation of Charles Dickens’ A CHRISTMAS CAROL (also for The Castle Theatre), and are currently developing a new musical version of Jules Verne’s AROUND THE WORLD IN EIGHTY DAYS, plus a wholly original project entitled NEON. They have written the full-length adult musical POSSESSION (about a gothic murder in the backwaters of suburbia) and a one-woman show called SIN (about the wife of a US politician at the end of her tether).
Richard Hough has written for the stage, television and radio and has seen his work in print. His TV credits include comedy for the BBC (REVOLVER and THE SACK RACE) and factual entertainment for FIVE (DUMBER & DUMBER). He has written extensively for BBC Radio, contributing to LOOSE ENDS, THE NEWS QUIZ and THE NOW SHOW. He developed a sitcom called MAD ABOUT THE BOY and co-created a sketch-show (THE CHILLER CABINET). His plays include NIGHTSCHOOL,THREESOME and MURDER ON ICE.
