Richard French has appeared in many stage productions, from roles in the classics of Shakespeare, Chekhov and Ibsen to children’s theater and comedy improv. In 2015, he performed in the 48-Hour Stage Show in Hollywood, a unique approach to creating a full-length, partially improvised stage production that is literally written, rehearsed and performed in a 48-hour timespan. Richard has also appeared in several short and feature films. He completed, three short films in 2015 and will appear in a feature currently in post-production. For the past eight years, Richard has also been a media spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department, with numerous appearances on radio and television, including narration of television public service announcements for the LAPD and other Los Angeles city departments. Richard is currently (Nov./Dec. 2015) appearing in The Lady from the Sea by Henrik Ibsen, marking a return to his roots on the classical stage. His academic accomplishments and theatrical training include a BA in communications from California State University Dominguez Hills and years of extensive training with Film Actors’ Workshop, Film Industry Workshops and private instruction with the late Susan Strasberg, as well as Mitchell Nestor, former director of the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York.
