Elaine and Bruce Gatchell, the founders of Leddy Center for the Performing Arts, will soon retire and Leddy Center will close its doors. Before they take their final bow they are pleased to once again present, as Leddy's final show, Charles Dickens' 'A Christmas Carol' December 1 through December 10. Performances are today and Saturday evenings at 7:30 pm and Sundays, and one Wednesday, December 6, at 2:00 pm. (Please note, both Sunday performances are sold out.)

WHITE CHRISTMAS Opens Tonight at The Music Hall
Tonight, Irving Berlin's White Christmas the Broadway musical opens at The Music Hall in downtown Portsmouth. Presented in a partnership between The Music Hall and the Ogunquit Playhouse, this production marks the largest show on The Music Hall's stage and the largest show of Ogunquit's season. This delightful classic stars Broadway veteran Jeffry Denman reprising his role as Phil Davis, which he played to critical acclaim on Broadway, and Broadway's Joey Sorge, who starred in the Ogunquit production of Nice Work If You Can Get It earlier this season, as Bob Wallace. The singing Haynes sisters are played by Broadway actresses Kate Loprest as Betty, and Vanessa Sonon as Judy. Complete with magical sets and iconic songs, the show is a Christmas Card come to life.

Director Elaine Gatchell is proud to present Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol", at Leddy Center's beautiful theatre at Verdant Pastures on Ladd's Lane in Epping, NH,December 6-15. As is tradition at Christmas shows at Leddy Center, eggnog with whipped cream and nutmeg will be offered at intermission! Performances are Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30pm and Sunday afternoons and one Wednesday afternoon, December 11, at 2:00pm. Steve Koch stars as Ebenezer Scrooge in this timeless classic presented ten Christmases over the past 38 years by Leddy Center. Dr. Henry Ferrell is Bob Crachit, Melissa Ransdell is Mrs. Crachit, and Damian Raymond is Marley. Don LaDuke of Litchfield is the Ghost of Christmas Present, Kathy St. Germain of Fremont is the Ghost of Christmas Past and Noah Anzalone of Fremont is Tiny Tim. A beautiful acappella quartet performs Christmas carols throughout the production!
