A CHRISTMAS CAROL Comes to PPAC
Trinity Repertory Company will present its 48th annual production of A Christmas Carol, adapted from the novella by Charles Dickens, with original music by Richard Cumming. Due to planned renovations of Trinity Rep’s Chace Theater, the production will run at the Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC).
Trinity Rep Announces 2022-23 Season
The Tony Award- winning Trinity Repertory Company has announced the company’s 59th season. The 2022-23 Season, which includes a five-show subscription series and an annual reimagining of A Christmas Carol, begins in September and concludes in June.

After a pause in in-person performances that began in March 2020, Trinity Repertory Company has announced a return to in-person theater production beginning in November 2021. A shortened 2021-22 Season will begin with Trinity Rep’s 44th annual production of A Christmas Carol.

The Pell Awards' criteria include distinction in the artist's chosen field, work that significantly advances the art form and contribution to the betterment of the community, and the world at large through artistic presence and community service. Awards will be presented at the theater's gala event on Monday, June 1, 2020.

Trinity Rep Announces 2019 Rhode Island Pell Award Winners
Trinity Repertory Company announced today that three area residents will be honored at its 2019 Pell Awards Gala on Monday, June 3, 2019 in Providence. Storyteller Valerie Tutson will receive the Rhode Island Pell Award for Excellence in the Arts. Central Falls High School teacher Deloris Davis Grant will receive the Charles Sullivan Award for Distinguished Service in the Arts. The Pell Award for Outstanding Leadership in the Arts will go to Rosanne Somerson, President of the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). Additional honorees will be announced at a later date.

Trinity Rep's annual A CHRISTMAS CAROL production is always delightful in new and exciting ways. This year, they've partnered with 56 choirs from Rhode Island (and a few from Massachusetts) to make each show unique and feature even more local talent. This is a lovely addition to the classic story, and another way that Trinity manages to give this play something new year after year. Set in a classic Victorian backdrop, this year's production features lots of singing and dancing, and some pretty fantastic effects and performances.

Trinity Rep announces tickets to A Christmas Carol will go on sale Wednesday, July 25, 2018 beginning at 10:00 am. To celebrate the production, a limited engagement flash sale will offer patrons $4 off adult tickets to non-peak performances purchased July 25 - July 29 using code ACCFLASH. Tickets will be available for purchase by phone at (401) 351-4242, online at www.trinityrep.com, or in person at the theater's box office at 201 Washington Street, Providence. Last year's production was the highest selling show in the company's history and many performances sold out.

Trinity Repertory Company announced today that three area residents will be honored at its 2018 Pell Awards Gala on Monday, May 21, 2018 in Providence. Pawtucket-based designer and artist Morris Nathanson will receive a Rhode Island Pell Award for Excellence in the Arts. Longtime Providence philanthropist and arts advocate Jane S. Nelson will receive the Charles Sullivan Award for Distinguished Service in the Arts. The Pell Award for Outstanding Leadership in the Arts will go to Jeannine Chartier in recognition of her work with VSA arts Rhode Island. Additional honorees will be announced at a later date.
