Wet Ink Ensemble Premieres Works By Katherine Young, Rick Burkhardt, Mariel Roberts, Peter Evans, and Eric Wubbels
The program features a new work by 2021-22 Artist-in-Residence Katherine Young, We are all lichens for bass flute, tenor saxophone, violin, cello, feedback piano, drum kit, and live electronics, in which improvisation permeates the piece as musicians improvise extended passages based on carefully workshopped materials.

Red Hot Chili Peppers will unveil their new, twelfth full-length album, Unlimited Love. It notably marks their first recording with guitarist John Frusciante since 2006 and first with producer and longtime collaborator Rick Rubin since 2011. To herald Unlimited Love, the Los Angeles band just shared the first single and music video “Black Summer.”
PUNCHY! Comes To The Courtyard Theatre in November
The cast has been announced for Punchy! The Musical, a brand new musical at The Courtyard Theatre. This raucous, affecting piece of gig-theatre brings the soulful sounds of the 1950s to the heart of Hoxton. Robert Hook (Peaky Blinders, BBC; The Milkman's on His Way) will take on the lead role of the wayward and conflicted George 'Punchy' Armstrong.
SPCO's Liquid Music Series to Present Miranada Cuckson in 'Sun Propeller'
On Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 8:00pm at Amsterdam Bar & Hall in Saint Paul, The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra's Liquid Music Series presents Miranda Cuckson: Sun Propeller, an investigation of our human fascination with the world above and around us. Violist and violinist Miranda Cuckson performs a set of contemporary pieces composed on themes of wind, air and light, featuring repertoire from living composers all across the world, including Dai Fujikura, Kaija Saariaho, Ileana Perez-Velasquez, Richard Barrett and Nina C. Young (who will be present on electronics). Utilizing nothing more than Cuckson's playing and electronics, each piece will showcase the unique 'warmth and humanity' (Cultured Cleveland) of her unforgettable musical voice.
Works by Per Blolan, John Zorn and Erin Gee Set for ECCE's 4/24 Concert
ECCE Ensemble closes its 2014-15 concert season with an event featuring works by a fascinating mix of renowned composers, including pieces from its latest CD, 'Chamber Industrial' the first all-Per Bloland works recording. Also on the program are compositions by John Zorn, Erin Gee, the late Jonathan Harvey and ECCE's own John Aylward. Kicking of the evening is the premiere of two works to be announced from the ensemble's Call for Scores program.
