Sheffield Theatres presents a Christmas production of The Wizard of Oz, starring Catrin Aaron (Miss Gulch / Wicked Witch), Jonathan Broadbent (Zeke/Lion), Gabrielle Brooks (Dorothy), Ryan Ellsworth (Professor Marvel / The Wizard Of Oz), Andrew Langtree (Hunk / Scarecrow), Michael Matus (Uncle Henry / Oz Doorkeeper), Sophia Nomvete (Aunt Em / Glinda) and Max Parker (Hickory / Tin Man). THE SNAIL AND THE WHALE Announces Special Performances During Run at St. James Theatre
THE SNAIL AND THE WHALE will be spending Christmas at the St. James Theatre in London from 10 December to 5 January, following a highly acclaimed UK tour. Tall Stories, the producers and creators of this enchanting adaptation of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler's book, are delighted to announce two very special performances: on Sunday 15 December, at 2.00pm, there will be a gala performance in aid of the charity Storybook Soldiers, and on Thursday 19 December, at 10.00am, there will be a relaxed performance.

David Gilmore, Artistic Director, has confirmd details of the upcoming season of main house productions at the St. James Theatre. The 312 seat main house is an exciting alternative to the West End, staging a varied programme of quality plays and musicals and featuring excellent sightlines from every seat. The intimate studio space incorporates the very best of both established and emerging talent in the worlds of cabaret, music, comedy and theatre. The informal bar and brasserie on the ground floor, and the elegant Carrara restaurant on the first floor cater for all pre and post-theatre tastes. Earlier this month, the St. James Theatre was one of only seven theatres shortlisted for the My Theatre Matters! Most Welcoming Theatre Award out of over 225 theatre venues across the country.
