Shakespeare Project Of Chicago Will Perform THE COMEDY OF ERRORS
The Shakespeare Project of Chicago will continue its return to live, in-person performances of its namesake playwright with free theatrical readings of THE COMEDY OF ERRORS. Shakespeare's first comedy, a farce of mistaken identities, directed by Peter Garino, The Project's artistic director, runs June 15 and 17 at two Chicagoland venues.

Belmont, October 11th - October 27th. Darkling explores the story of Annaa?"a present-day Jewish American woman piecing together her heritage as a descendant of the Holocaust. When Anna's father passes, he leaves behind a small box of mementos and photographs, and a long list of unasked and unanswered questions.
Third Eye Theatre Ensemble Announces The US Premiere Of STITCH, By Juliet Palmer
Third Eye Theatre Ensemble presents the US Premiere of Stitch, by Juliet Palmer, with libretto by Anna Chatterton. Performances take place at Prop Thtr, 3502 N. Elston, June 14th - June 15th. Stitch is an a cappella opera for three women and three sewing machines. Framed by hypnotic language and locked within the unrelenting rhythm of the sewing machine, this work sheds light on the conditions of the sweatshop and gives us a glimpse into the lives of the women who clothe us all.

Third Eye Theatre Ensemble will present The Filthy Habit, the first opera ever performed at the Chicago Fringe Festival, opening Saturday, September 3rd at 7 pm with additional performances on Monday, September 5th at 2:30 pm and Friday, September 9th at 8:30 pm. All performance will take place at the CCJP Meeting Hall at 5320 W. Giddings, in Jefferson Park. Tickets are $10.

Cast members and guest artists perform the music of Mohammed Fairouz, in addition to other contemporary composers, including Ricky Ian Gordon, Gwyneth Walker, William Bolcom, Lori Laitman, Jake Heggie, Dominic Argento, Benjamin Britten, and Alan Hovhaness. Petite Opera Presents SNOOPY!!! The Musical, 4/25-5/4
Submitted by Petite Opera, Chicago suburban Park Ridge's professional 501c3 non-profit opera company, presents its first musical theatre work, 'SNOOPY!!! The Musical' April 25-May 4, 2014. Based on the Charles M Schulz Peanuts cartoon strip, this fun musical focuses on the life of Snoopy, from the puppy farm to his attempts at writing the great American novel. It also follows the Peanuts child characters in their discovery and interpretation of their world as they grow up. Fans of Charles Schulz's strip will recognize Snoopy and his friend Woodstock, Lucy's psychiatrist booth, Linus' blanket and more. The delightful musical includes the upbeat songs 'Poor Sweet Baby,' 'I Know Now,' 'Where Did That Little Dog Go?,' 'The Big Bow Wow' and 'It Was a Dark and Stormy Night.'
