Continuing its mission of bringing the arts to the public during the coronavirus crisis, Gold Coast Arts has partnered with several top film distributors and filmmakers to bring great films to viewers as part of its virtual at-home screening series.
Ben Vereen to Receive Gold Coast Arts Center's Lifetime Achievement Award
Internationally acclaimed superstar Ben Vereen will receive the Gold Coast Arts Center's Lifetime Achievement Award at an opening night reception of the Gold Coast International Film Festival on Monday, November 4, 2019 at 6 p.m. at the Krasnoff Theater at Tilles Center in Brookville, New York according to Regina Gil, founder and executive director of the multi-cultural, nonprofit arts organization.

The stars shone over the Gold Coast Arts Center in Great Neck, Long Island recently as film and television star Robert Wagner came to receive the second annual Burton Moss Hollywood Golden Era Award in recognition of his long, illustrious career that began in 1950 with his film debut in The Happy Years. The occasion also helped raise funds for the nonprofit Arts center and its Gold Coast International Film Festival, which starts on Friday, November 2, 2018 on the storied Gold Coast of Nassau County's North Shore, once home to entertainment legends including W. C. Fields, Paulette Goddard, Oscar Hammerstein, Alan King, Francis Ford Coppola, George Segal, and F. Scott Fitzgerald.

Robert Wagner, the handsome and debonair actor and one of the most popular and successful stars in the entertainment industry, has been named to be the recipient of the Gold Coast International Film Festival's second annual Burton Moss Hollywood Golden Era Award. Regina Gil, founder and executive director of the Gold Coast Arts Center and its Gold Coast International Film Festival, announced the selection along with members of an advisory board that included such noted celebrities as Joel Grey, Larry King, Richard Thomas, Edwina Sandys, Mrs. Anthony Katherine Quinn, Tippi Hedren, Greg Mullavey, Carole Shelley, Angie Dickinson, Diane Baker, Stefanie Powers and Constance Towers Gavin.

Last night in a Long Island star studded event The Gold Coast International Film Festival and Arts Center held it's 2015 Gala at the Tilles Center. The Gold Coast Arts Center's honorees this year were, Vince Giordano, Artist of Distinction - Music, Actor Navid Negahban, Artist of Distinction, Film, and Director Patricia Riggen, Director, Woman of Influence Award. The evening's presenters were Will Friedwald, author & music editor, Michael Cuesta, Screenwriter, director of Showtime's "Homeland" and Lou Diamond Phillips, Actor Director and the star of the upcoming fiom "The 33" The Gala Emcee was Award winning WABC correspondent Kristin Thorne. Regina Keller Gil is founder & executive director of The Gold Coast Arts Center and Caroline Sorokoff is an associate director of the Gold Coast Arts Center and Director of the Gold Coast International Film Festival. The festival will run November 9-15th.

Hugh Grant one of the most well known actors in the world decided to check out the Gold Coast International Film Festival, which is in it's fourth year successful year. Needless to say, the seats were filled at the Soundveiw Cinema in Port Washington as this international movie star and producer shared his views on many topics.

The Gold Coast International Film Festival began its seven-day run on Nov. 3rd. It will feature more than 40 short films, art films foreign films and appearances by filmmakers. In just its fourth year, the festival has grown so large and so popular that it will need theaters in Great Neck, Manhasset, Roslyn and Port Washington to accommodate all of the screenings and doings.

This eye opening documentary about James McDonald, the son of Catholic immigrants, was almost lost to history until his meticulously kept diaries were discovered in 2003.

Add A-list celebrities and unforgettable events to the mix and GCIFF has become the 'go to' Festival for film buffs and it is the last major film festival on the East Coast before Awards season.

TONIGHT, Thursday, May 30, 2013, The Gold Coast International Film Festival is honored to present a screening of the film Portrait of Wally at Great Neck Arts Center, 113 Middle Neck Road, Great Neck (entrance off Maple Drive). The evening, which is being produced by the Gold Coast International Film Festival and Gold Coast Arts Center (formerly known as the Great Neck Arts Center) in conjunction with the Town of North Hempstead and the Holocaust Memorial & Tolerance Center of Nassau County and is sponsored by the Claire Friedlander Family Foundation, will feature a reception at 6:30pm, film at 7:30 PM followed by a Q&A sessionwith Historian and Author Willi Korte after the film.
