Juilliard Drama Announces 2019-20 Season

Juilliard Drama announces fully staged productions showcasing Juilliard's Group 49 acting students in their fourth and final year in the program. Evan Yionoulis, an Obie award-winning director and nationally recognized acting teacher, is entering her second season as Richard Rodgers Director of the Drama Division.

PlayMakers Repertory Company proudly presents the world premiere of 'Leaving Eden' a play with music, script by North Carolina playwright and UNC-Chapel Hill alumnus Mike WIley, and music & lyrics by North Carolina singer-songwriter Laurelyn Dossett. The production, the first fully commissioned work by the theatre, is directed by PlayMakers' Producing Artistic Director, Vivienne Benesch, and runs from April 4 to 22, 2018.

Chautauqua Theater Company (CTC), under the co-leadership of Artistic Directors Andrew Borba and Vivienne Benesch, brings its 33rd season to a close with William Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew directed by Andrew Borba and featuring the outstanding talents of its entire 2016 Conservatory company onstage and off to produce this comedy masterpiece. The Taming of the Shrew plays August 12 - 19 on the Bratton Theater stage at the Chautauqua Institution. Opening night is Saturday, August 13 at 6pm. Tickets are $35 and are currently on sale.

The show stars Courtney Cheatham, Amelia Hart, Roxy Reynolds, and Eva Richards. The evening is a fresh cabaret about love, the guys who didn't text, and the prince who did! A night of Showtunes and pop favorites. Created by Phil Hall, who is also the musical director and accompanist.
