Emerging Artists Theatre New Work Series Annoucnes Week Two Line-up
Emerging Artists Theatre celebrates their 25th season by presenting their bi annual New Work Series. The series opened on February 27 and runs through March 17 at TADA Theater in the Flatiron District. New musical, plays, solo-shows and dance pieces (in varies stages of development), will be presented.
Current Harbor & The Tank presents THE WHALEPHANT
The Whalephant intertwines the story of two Massachusetts men, past and present: Moses Spouter, a famed and possibly unhinged Nantucket whaling captain; and his great-great grandson, Abe Spouter, day-drunk and proud and generally pissed, who captains a whale-watching boat off the coast of Cape Cod. It's a play about history and family, cetaceans and shanties, and the search for self at sea.

2016 Recipients Announced for New York Innovative Theatre Awards
On Monday, September 26, 2016, The New York Innovative Theatre Foundation, the organization who for the past 12 years has been dedicated to celebrating Off-Off-Broadway, announced the 2016 recipients at its annual awards ceremony, The IT Awards. Hosted by a crowd favorite, Jason Kravits and directed by award winning director and sound designer, DeLisa White the ceremony took place from 7pm to 10pm at the Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College.

Retro Productions celebrates its eleventh season with Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (Glee/Big Love) drama, Good Boys and True which had its World Premiere at The Steppenwolf Theatre in 2007. The production is directed by DeLisa White who won a New York Innovative Theatre Award for Outstanding Director for Vincent Marano's Lights Narrow. Good Boys and True, is Retro Productions 18th full length play. Their last production, The Butter and Egg Man played to sold-out houses and received rave reviews. Heather E. Cunningham (NYIT Award Winner for Outstanding Actress/An Appeal To The Woman Of The House) is the Producing Artistic Director, Sara Slagle serves as an Associate Producer.

Perhaps one of Kaufman's lesser known works, The Butter and Egg Man is a wonderful comedy about producing theater and was one of Kaufman's biggest Broadway successes when it opened at the Longacre Theatre in 1925. The production is directed by Ricardo Rust, who co-produced Retro Productions, An Appeal to the Woman of the House which was nominated for 3 New York Innovative Theater Awards and won an award for Heather E. Retro Productions to Participate in Inaugural Red Nose Day, 5/20-21
Retro Productions is celebrating North America's first Red Nose Day at their performances on May 20th & 21st. Red Nose Day was started by Comic Relief UK in 1988 and is now held every two years with the goal of raising funds for children and young people living in poverty. The US will celebrate its first Red Nose Day on May 21st. Retro Productions will be passing the hat after their performances of The Butter and Egg Man on May 20th & 21st and they'll also encourage their audience members and supporters to purchase red noses and tweet photos.
