Disney Renews RAVEN'S HOME for Season 5

A spinoff of the iconic Disney Channel comedy 'That's So Raven' (2003-2007), season five welcomes Rondell Sheridan to the cast, who reprises his role from the beloved classic as Raven's easygoing and loveable dad, Victor Baxter.
Synetic Theater to Present THE MADNESS OF POE

SYNETIC THEATER will welcome in-person audiences back to the theater with terrifying tales from Edgar Allan Poe, THE MADNESS OF POE, choreographed by Irina Tsikurishvili and directed by Paata Tsikurishvili. 
The CUNY Theatre Festival Announced

The CUNY Theatre Festival will take place on March 20 and will be live-streamed. A full-day lineup of guest artists will be offering specialty workshops, panel discussions, and lectures. The evening will be the presentation of new works by CUNY student playwrights.

Source Material's IN THESE UNCERTAIN TIMES will world premiere via Zoom July 25, 2020 at 4pm PST. Directed by Source Material's artistic director Samantha Shay, IN THESE UNCERTAIN TIMES posits the state of theatre in these COVID-19 times using a mash-up of Chekov monologues, drinking duels and coronavirus memes. Performers, spread out in the U. S. and in Iceland, include company members James Cowan, Miles Hartfelder, Annelise Lawson, Stephanie Regina, Raven Scott, Victoria Sendra, and Grace Tiso. I had the chance to ask Samantha what's currently predominating in her creative mind.

NAACP Reveals Nominations For The 28th Annual Theatre Awards

Once again, the NAACP Beverly Hills/Hollywood Branch's Theatre Viewing Committee has spoken, and the nominations are in for the 28th Annual NAACP Theatre Awards. This year's pedigreed list of nominees collectively represents a rich, extensive dossier of legacies and accolades for both stage and screen. These nominees include members of a legendary 'gospel royal family' as well as a Legend whose part of an elite group of artists in the EGOT winners circle. These, along with all their fellow nominees, will be honored for their excellence on the small and large stages during our annual awards dinner, slated to be held on Monday, June 17, 2019, 6:00 p.m.at the prestigious Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles, California.
