In a harmonic convergence that crosses cultural frontiers and breaks a centuries-old glass ceiling, The Cecilia Chorus of New York presents Skye, Bartók, von Martines, and Mozart, April 28 at 8:00 PM in Stern Auditorium at Carnegie Hall on 57th Street in Manhattan. The performance will be with chorus, soloists, children's choir, and orchestra. All three soloists will make their Carnegie Hall debut, including 2023 Houston Grand Opera winner Natalie Lewis.

The Cecilia Chorus of New York, led by Music Director and Conductor Mark Shapiro, will present The Ballad of the Brown King: A Christmas Cantata (1954) by American composer Margaret Bonds on a text by Langston Hughes and in Bonds's original orchestration, along with J.S. Bach's Magnificat and part five of his Christmas Oratorio on Sunday, December 11 at 2:00PM in Stern Auditorium at Carnegie Hall on 57th Street in Manhattan.

In its final concert of the season, The Cecilia Chorus of New York, Mark Shapiro, Music Director, will present Shakespeare...and more! The program features the World Premiere of Caroline Mallonee's cantata With Streaks of Light, and includes chamber works inspired by and relating to Shakespeare. The Cecilia Chorus of New York's You Heard Them First series will present soprano Jennifer Rowley, live via Zoom, Monday, June 15 @ 7 PM. She'll lead you in her favorite vocal warmups and talk with CCNY's Maestro Mark Shapiro about her life and career. Maestro Shapiro then shares insights about the music to Haydn's Creation and conducts as you sing along.

The Cecilia Chorus of New York will present The Belshazzar Project, a multigenre concert experience devised by Music Director and six-time ASCAP Programming Award winner Mark Shapiro, on March 7 @ 8:00 PM at Church of St. Francis Xavier, 46 W. 16th St., between 5th and 6th Avenues in Manhattan, featuring music and spoken words inspired by the story of Belshazzar, the last king of the ancient Babylonian empire.
