When one thinks of jobs on Broadway, the first career that often comes to mind is actor, or maybe director or designer. However, each and every Broadway show has about 200 to 400 people working on it at any given time.
Local Teacher Presented with Broadway League Apple Award
On Tuesday, December 5, 2017, local teacher Jason Ford was presented with the national 2017 League Educator Apple Award at Francis Parker School #23 by Rachel Reiner, Director of Audience Engagement at The Broadway League, based in NYC. Now in its fifteenth year, the award acknowledges the efforts of local teachers and advocates who support programs relating to Broadway or Touring Broadway shows, promoting further development of theatre education. Jason accepted the award amongst an audience of students and peers who cheered in support of his achievement.

AMAZING GRACE's Gabriel Barre to Direct, Star in Resonance Ensemble's CYRANO
Resonance Ensemble (Eric Parness, Artistic Director; Rachel Reiner, Managing Director) celebrates classic plays and the new works they inspire. This year the season, dubbed "The Language of Love," will include the Edmond Rostand classic Cyrano de Bergerac, adapted by Gabriel Barre, Rick Sordelet and Alexander Sovronsky, directed by Gabriel Barre, in rep with the World Premiere of the Cyrano-inspired play Burning by Ginger Lazarus, directed by Eric Parness. The season begins on February 3 and will run through February 28, 2016 at the Theatre at St. Clement's (423 West 46th Street). Tickets are $18 and can be purchased at ResonanceEnsemble.org.
