THE BODYGUARD THE MUSICAL : The worldwide smash hit film 'THE BODYGUARD,' starring Kevin Costner and Whitney Houston, is brought to the stage. May J., who participated in NHK's “Kohaku Uta Gassen(紅白歌合戦)”, portrays the singer Rachel, a role originally played by Whitney in the movie, alongside Seiko Niizuma in a double cast. The show features numerous hit songs, including the Grammy-winning 'I Will Always Love You' and the iconic 'I Wanna Dance with Somebody,' familiar from the movie. Ryohei Otani, known for his solid acting in films and dramas, takes on the role of the bodyguard protecting Rachel, delivering a grand romantic suspense musical adorned with well-known melodies. After the main performance, there's a showtime where the entire cast interacts with the audience, creating an electric atmosphere together.

Whitney Rowland's new play, Wayfinding, is a “magical realism melancholic comedy” that uses the concept of “time bending” to shape the characters' journeys to unexpected destinations. Jane (Sarah Wallis) is an emotionally-numbed new widow. Harrison (Ben Thorpe) is Les's (Charlie T. Thomas) inattentive, self-sabotaging fiancé. In seeking escape, these two strangers collide – both literally and figuratively – tangling their lifelines and setting them on a journey involving an intercontinental plane crash, a magical forest, and a choice that leads them both to an unexpected destination. Wayfinding runs through March 29, 2020 at Synchronicity Theatre.
Synchronicity Theatre And Agnes Scott College To Launch Partnership To Develop Women Leaders
With the help of a grant from The Kelin Foundation, Synchronicity Theatre and Agnes Scott College have partnered to launch a two-year pilot program that will provide opportunities for Agnes Scott students to intersect with Synchronicity Theatre and Atlanta's theatre community. This unique pilot program will ensure a a?oecontinuum of learninga?? through an introduction to contemporary female playwrights and dramatic criticism, weeklong leadership development residencies in partnership with Agnes Scott's signature SUMMIT experience, and paid a?oereal worlda?? internships at Synchronicity Theatre.
