Review: A CHRISTMAS CAROL: THE REMIX is a Hip Hop Holiday Gift
by James Lindhorst - Nov 27, 2024
A CHRISTMAS CAROL: THE REMIX is a fantastically creative retelling of the Dickensian tale. It is an outrageous theatrical event that adds up to high energy imaginative story telling. A couple moments in the show that feel a bit one-note and repetitive when the narrative goes on a little too long, but overall, The Q Brothers A CHRISTMAS CAROL: THE REMIX will delight you and will make your heart swell with Christmas spirit.
Review: Stages' OTHELLO: THE REMIX Brings New Energy and Life to Shakespeare in Houston
by Miranda Keating - Jun 2, 2024
Despite my critiques of the show’s content itself, OTHELLO: THE REMIX is certainly a fun night out due to the catchy songs, exciting dance moves, and wonderful performances. I believe that everyone should watch the show, take in the exhilarating music and theatrical pictures, and see for themselves what they take away from the story.
Interview: Eboni Bell Darcy of OTHELLO THE REMIX at Stages Houston
by Brett Cullum - May 5, 2024
It is Shakespeare's classic tragedy. Othello Retold through a hip-hop lens and so it is constant beats being spun by DJ who is present the entire time. And and the rhyme being done on top of that consistently in rhythm, just like all of Shakespeare's work was in that iambic pentameter.
