Museum of Jewish Heritage Will Present the New York Premiere of YIDDISH GLORY: THE LOST SONGS OF WWII

Revealing a once lost cultural history of WWII, the Museum of Jewish Heritage - A Living Memorial to the Holocaust will present the New York premiere of a live performance of the Grammy-nominated album 'Yiddish Glory: The Lost Songs of World War II', featuring the preeminent Russian Roma trio Loyko, singer-songwriter Psoy Korolenko, and narration by Yiddish scholar Anna Shternshis. Two performances only will be given at 7 PM on Monday, March 30 and Tuesday, March 31.
Show One Productions Presents Yiddish Glory: The Lost Songs Of World War II

Yiddish Glory resurrects anti-fascist music that documents Nazi atrocities which were miraculously discovered in a former Soviet archive in Kiev, Ukraine. The songs were written by Holocaust victims and survivors in the Soviet Union during World War II, and will be performed live at Toronto's Koerner Hall on Tuesday, August 28 to open the 2018 Ashkenaz Festival.

The National Yiddish Theatre - Folksbiene just presented a remarkable concert event celebrating the folk legend and actor Theodore Bikel in anticipation of his 90th birthday in May 2014. 'Miracle of Miracles: A Chanukah Extravaganza' filled the stage at Symphony Space, 2537 Broadway, last night, December 2 with one rare musical treat after another. Featured in the all-star cast were the beloved Emmy-winning actor Fyvush Finkel, klezmer giant Frank London, the Russian concert phenomenon Psoy Korolenko and the Broadway actors Joanne Borts ('Once') and Elmore James, among many others.
