Polly McKie was born in raised in Glasgow, Scotland and taught drama there and in Bermuda, before moving to New York to pursue a career in acting full time. Off Broadway credits: A Child's Christmas in Wales, The Home Place (both at Irish Rep.), A Lovely Sunday for Creve Coeur (St. Clement's), A Day by The Sea (The Mint). Regional: Lost in Yonkers (New Harmony Theatre), Into the Woods (Potsdam Music Theatre). Film: Soderbergh's Unsane (with Claire Foy), One Second Changes Everything (American Movie Award: Best Supporting Actress, 2016), Mouthpiece, The Perfect One. The Butcher Boy will begin previews on the Francis J. Greenburger Mainstage on July 21, 2022 and is set to open on August 1 for a limited run through September 11, 2022.

As part of the closing week of the Brenda Starr, Reporter: The Art of Dale Messick exhibit at the Society of Illustrators (128 East 63rd Street New York, NY 10065), The Waverly Writers Collective will present a staged reading of Reporter Girl, a full-length play written by Laura Rohrman (My Life As You at Studio 54/Shetler), Dale Messick's Granddaughter and co-curator of the exhibit.
