Pierce Peter Brandt has been a thriving performing artist for most of his life, performing as an actor and singer in Broadway productions and professional regional theaters, in concert halls and nightclubs, as well as on TV, in film, and in commercials. From chorus boy to leading man, innovative smaller theaters to major commercial venues and opera houses, Pierce has been there. Pierce is a recipient of two DramaLogue (Backstage West) Awards and a Goodman San Francisco Critics' Award, as well as numerous accolades from critics and audiences alike. He has performed leading roles in major Broadway productions on some of the most celebrated metropolitan stages throughout the United States and Canada and has also enjoyed success working in major regional theater productions with some of the country's finest theater companies.
Pierce has performed leading and featured roles throughout the US and Canada in Cameron Mackintosh's Broadway touring production of Les Misérables, the original New York cast of Cameron Mackintosh's Martin Guerre (from the creators of Les Miserables and Miss Saigon), and in the national touring company of Jesus Christ Superstar starring Ted Neeley and Carl Anderson from the original motion picture. Pierce's other prominent engagements include principal and/or featured roles at the San Francisco Bay Area's Hillbarn Theatre (White Christmas), San Francisco Peninsula's TheatreWorks (Side Show, Oliver!), Minneapolis' Guthrie Theater (Martin Guerre), Washington DC's Arena Stage (Candide), the San Francisco Bay Area's Festival Opera (The Most Happy Fella), San Francisco's Alcazar Theater (Jerry Herman’s Tune the Grand Up, supervised by Mr. Herman himself), New York's City Center (Owl Creek), San Francisco's 42nd Street Moon (Fanny, Redhead, Jerome Kern Salon), American Musical Theatre of San Jose (The Most Happy Fella, Follies, Pippin, The Three Musketeers, and others), Hollywood Universal Amphitheater (Jesus Christ Superstar), Oakland's Woodminster Theater (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Sayonara), Pennsylvania's Allenberry Playhouse (Joseph ... Dreamcoat), Maryland's Olney Theater (The Fifth Season), and San Francisco's American Conservatory Theater (The Difficulty of Crossing A Field).
As a concert soloist, Pierce has performed with San Jose's Symphony Silicon Valley in Hello Dolly in Concert (starring Leslie Uggams) and Your Hit Parade; and is a regular soloist with the California Pops Orchestra in various concerts including Christmas Fantasy, Magical Broadway Moments, Holiday with the Pops, On Broadway, God Bless America! and many others.
