Rite of Summer Music Festival's 2020 Season has been postponed to Summer 2021 as a result of COVID-19 precautions and Federal, State, and Local guidelines. Due to mark its 10th Anniversary this summer on Governors Island, Rite of Summer Music Festival will celebrate this milestone with special extended festivities next year. The safety, health, and happiness of ROS audiences, artists, and crew are of primary concern to Artistic Directors Pam Goldberg and Blair McMillen.
Morris Museum Closes Today For Indefinite Period
Executive Director, Cleveland Johnson announced that The Morris Museum will close to the public, beginning Tuesday, March 17, until further notice. Responding to the COVID-19 crisis, in accordance with federal, state, and local recommendations the museum joins the rest of the NJ's arts organizations
LOOK + LISTEN Festival Has Announced 2020 Programming
The Look + Listen Festival-dedicated to sparking dialogue between music and visual art through its annual free programming of contemporary music by today's musical trailblazers in galleries and cultural centers through New York City-has announced its 2020 season of three performances. Phyllis Chen's AUTOMATOYS Begins At The Morris Museum, March 13
On President's Day Monday, February 17th, acclaimed composer and keyboardist Phyllis Chen lead a workshop in which participants, mostly families with young children, were invited to draw on scrolls which they and Phyllis punched into miniature compositions for the music box. Using her composer's alchemy, Chen will use this material to weave together a new sound collage, Floating Verses: Morristown, which will be one part of of her show, Automatoys, when it premieres at the Bickford Theatre on March 13th at 8pm and Saturday, March 14th at 2pm.

Tippet Rise Art Center today announced the full details of its fifth annual concert season, expanded this year to encompass two dozen wide-ranging programs from July 10 through August 29, 2020. Located on a 12,000-acre working ranch nestled at the foot of Montana's Beartooth Mountains, the art center celebrates the union of music, land, art, and architecture with large-scale sculptures and innovative architectural structures sited across its hills and rolling meadows and seven weeks of concerts performed in the acoustically enveloping Olivier Music Barn and outdoors under the big sky.
