Quintessence Theatre Group, Philadelphia's professional classic theatre, concludes Season XIII: Celebrating the Extraordinary with a world premiere of Paul Oakley Stovall’s Written by Phillis, directed by Cheryl Lynn Bruce. A new play exploring the life and poetry of America’s first published Black poet Phillis Wheatley, Written by Phillis is presented in association with Chicago’s New Classics Collective, opens tonight, May 13. Arden Theatre Company is bringing audiences back into the world of August Wilson’s ten-part series, The American Century Cycle. Audiences are currently journeying to Pittsburgh in the late 1990s for the final play of the cycle, August Wilson’s Radio Golf. Kash Goins, who was an actor in the Arden’s production of Two Trains Running, returns to direct. August Wilson’s Radio Golf runs through April 16. Check out a first look at the production here!

Arden Theatre Company is bringing audiences back into the world of August Wilson's ten-part series, The American Century Cycle. This time audiences will journey to Pittsburgh in the late 1990s for the final play of the cycle, August Wilson's Radio Golf. This bittersweet drama of assimilation and alienation in nineties America traces the forces of change on a neighborhood and its people caught between history and the twenty-first century. This is the fifth play in the cycle that the Arden has produced. Kash Goins, who was an actor in the Arden's production of Two Trains Running, returns to direct. August Wilson's Radio Golf runs March 23-April 16.

Welcome to a jungle full of animals and life lessons galore when Dallas Children's Theater (DCT) opens JUNGALBOOK, based on Rudyard Kipling's original 1894 coming of age tale. The daunting greatness of the jungle takes over DCT's stage with a larger-than-life set and combines with the moral lessons of home, betrayal, life and death, and loyalty to create a must-see play that captures the imagination. JUNGALBOOK runs at the Rosewood Center for Family Arts from May 4 - 26.
