BWW Review: RUDOLPH at Downtown Cabaret Children's Theatre
On Sunday, November 24, I had the pleasure of seeing RUDOLPH performed at the Downtown Cabaret Children's Theatre in Bridgeport, CT. This is my favorite of the three Downtown Cabaret Children's Theatre Christmas shows I have seen. Written by Phil Hill and directed by Frank Root, it brings comedy, familiar music, and an excellent cast of six, all of whom are in roles that showcase their incredible talents.
Writers Theatre Continues 25th Anniversary Season with EAST TEXAS HOT LINKS
Writers Theatre, under the leadership of Artistic Director Michael Halberstam and Executive Director Kathryn M. Lipuma, continues its 25th Anniversary Season with East Texas Hot Links, written by Eugene Lee and directed by Ron OJ Parson. The show runs October 19, 2016 - January 22, 2017 in The Gillian Theatre: 325 Tudor Court, Glencoe.
2016 Justice Brothers-Shav Glick Award Nominees Announced
Bill Pollack, Ed Iskendarian, Joe Huffaker, and Ricky Johnson have been nominated for the 17th Annual Justice Brothers-Shav Glick Award. The Justice Brothers-Shav Glick Award recognizes motorsports personalities who have made valuable or distinguished contributions to the various types of motorsports in California. Shav Glick, who passed away in 2007, was a highly respected motorsports writer for the Los Angeles Times and member of the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America. Ed Justice Jr., president and CEO of Justice Brothers, will present the award during the pre-race ceremonies for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Auto Club 400 race at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, Calif., on Sunday, March 20.

The Eastern Museum of Motor Racing Acquires Roy Blas Painting
The Eastern Museum of Motor Racing, Gettysburg, Pa., recently acquired Roy Blas painting of three time Lemans winning American racing champion Phil Hill.
The painting of the May 1959 Sports Illustrated cover shows Hill leaning against his red Ferrari at Sebring. Roy Blas created the painting in honor of Mr. Hill's 50th Anniversary of winning the 1962 24 hour Lemans.
Roy Blas is a top American emerging avant garde artist and creator of the 'American Swagger' iconographic series. The series depicts American icons who displayed the confidence and class that make for that American swagger and includes Steve McQueen and Marilyn Monroe.
