Staged Reading of FAMILIAR STRANGERS Set for Planet Connections Theatre Festivity

Award-winning playwright Lynda Crawford's new play Familiar Strangers will have a staged reading at Planet Connections Theatre Festivity on Wednesday, July 6th at 1:30 pm followed by a talk-back. The play was inspired by the book Stranger to the System: Life Portraits of a NYC Homeless Community (Curbside Press) by Jim Flynn. The reading is directed by Terry Greiss, who is the co-founder of Irondale Ensemble Project.

The Eagle Theatre, located at 208 Vine St. in Hammonton, N.J., lined the six member cast of 'Lombardi' with several veteran actors. David Wills, who plays famed Green Bay Packers coach Vince Lombardi, and Marianne Green, who plays his wife, have performed regionally and internationally for decades. This will mark their third time performing as each other's opposites since first sharing the stage in 1979 when they were cast in the musical 'Shenandoah.'

B. Someday at Walking Fish Theatre is holding a season-ending Cabaret Fundraiser to help raise money to pay off the last of the theatre's productions for 2012-13. Tonight, June 22, 2013 starting at 8:00pm, the theatre will hold a variety of acts. Tickets are $25.00 and include alcoholic beverages as well as the entertainment. There will be raffle items ranging from dinner at Fishtown restaurants, to massage sessions to theatre tickets.
