Marsha Mason Joins THE TRAUMA BRAIN PROJECT

Award-winning actress Marsha Mason (Fire and Air, Impressionism,The Goodbye Girl) joins the cast of The Trauma Brain Project, (www.thetraumabrainproject.com), a one night theatrical event on Monday, April 9th at 7pm at The Jerry Orbach Theater in The Theatre Center (210 West 50th Street, 3rd Floor), it was announced by producers Katherine Elliot, Shannon Lower, and executive producer Pat Flicker Addiss. Broadway actress Jessica Grove (A Little Night Music, Thoroughly Modern Millie) and Shannon Lower (Lovington, UrbanErotika) complete the cast.

On a Sunday morning at Milwaukee's Intercontinental Hotel, First Stage hosted a brunch featuring world premiere Ella Enchanted author Gail Carson Levine. Levine answered questions from her primarily youthful audience alongside Director John Maclay's warm hospitality to the delight of her fans. After a charming duet from the show sung by Taylor Kass and Cole Winston Ella and Prince Char in the Brilliant Cast on stage later that afternoon, the audience eagerly anticipated hearing from Levine.

Noel Coward fans will get a rare opportunity in March to witness one of his less-often-revived comedies from the 1950s, 'Nude With Violin,' performed twice in New York - in a fully staged Equity Showcase production by the Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church's Theatre Fellowship, and in a one-night-only benefit Salon Reading by the Acting Company.

New Georges (Susan Bernfield, Artistic Director; Sarah Cameron Sunde, Associate Director; Jaynie Saunders Tiller, Managing Director), the OBIE Award-winning downtown theater company founded in 1992, will present 'THE GERM PROJECT,' featuring the work of playwrights Kara Lee Corthron (directed by Kara-Lynn Vaeni), Lynn Rosen (directed by Shoshana Gold), Kathryn Walat (directed by Portia Krieger), and Anna Ziegler (directed by Beatrice Terry). The four 'germs' of full-length plays of scope and adventure commissioned by New Georges for this project will be presented together, fully produced, in a cohesive and satisfying ninety-minute intermission-less evening. There will be a connective thread to the pieces that will take place with visuals and storytelling. 'THE GERM PROJECT' will be performed at 3LD Art & Technology Center, 80 Greenwich Street (just south of Rector). Previews will begin on June 11, and the official Opening Night will be Monday, June 20 at 8:00 p.m. Performances will run through July 9.
