Long Island University Appoints Tom Dunn New Executive Director of Tilles Center for the Performing Arts
Long Island University announced that Tom Dunn will serve as the new executive director of the Tilles Center for the Performing Arts. Mr. Dunn has had an illustrious career in arts management highlighted by more than 16 years in leadership positions at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. He most recently served as executive director of the Southampton Arts Center since 2018. He will assume the new position effective Aug. 15, 2022.
Armel Opera Festival Presents Réka Kristóf, Soprano
The Armel Opera Festival presents REKA KRISTÓF, soprano the winner of 'Virtuosi' 2017, Hungary with Aneas HUMM, baritone and Gergely BOGÁNYI, piano. This special concert is on Wednesday, May 16 at 8:00 pm at Well Recital Hall (Carnegie Hall). Peter Klein is the executive Producer. The program will include some concert classics by some of Hungary's famous composers, and those of other world renowned composers. Tickets will soon be available.

The Bitter Tears of Petra von Kant is Third Space's latest remix smash-up of theatrical form and style. When a new model, Karin, enters the home of famous fashion designer Petra von Kant, Petra's world-and career-rocket to manic heights. But in the midst of Petra's euphoria, her submissive assistant, Marlene, senses a threat. When Karin becomes a superstar, leaving everything behind, Marlene picks up the broken pieces. What Marlene does with those pieces will dictate the rest of her life. Featuring an all-female cast and directed by Benjamin Viertel, Third Space's The Bitter Tears of Petra von Kant delves into the tortured connections between desire and power in an industry driven by consumption.

Pianists Chick Corea & Herbie Hancock to Reunite at Chan Centre, 3/15
The Chan Centre for the Performing Arts at the University of British Columbia (UBC) presents an exclusive concert reuniting two of jazz and contemporary music's most influential icons, and multi-GRAMMY-Award winners, Chick Corea and Herbie Hancock, Sunday, March 15 at 7pm in the Chan Shun Concert Hall. The concert will be preceded by a pre-concert talk about the history of Corea and Hancock's collaboration with the Director of the UBC School of Journalism Peter Klein, at 6:15pm in the Royal Bank Cinema.
