Peter Kevoian made his Broadway debut in the revival of ZORBA (Revival Cast Recording) with legendary actor Anthony Quinn and Academy Award Winner, Lila Kedrova, directed by Michael Cacoyannis who also directed the film, “Zorba the Greek”
His first Equity job was in the musical version of GONE WITH THE WIND, directed by Joe Layton, starring Lesley Ann Warren and Pernell Roberts, next came the National Tour of JOHN BROWN'S BODY, directed by Academy Award winner John Houseman, starring Rock Hudson, Oscar winner Claire Trevor, and Leif Erikson.
He is a member of the Original Broadway cast of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, with Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman, which is now the longest running show in Broadway History, and toured with Carl Anderson, Natalie Toro and Sebastian Bach as “Herod” in JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR. He enjoyed a year long stint as “The Wizard”, in the Chicago Company of WICKED, and he performed the roles of “Myron” and “Manfred” in the Canadian Cast of SUNSET BLVD. Starring Diahann Carroll and Rex Smith (Original Canadian Cast Recording). He played the roles of “Gus, Growltiger and Bustopher Jones”, in the Los Angeles Company of CATS, and also appeared in the LA Companies of LES MISERABLES, and RAGTIME. He was nominated for a Joseph Jefferson Award for recreating the role of “Tateh” in the Chicago Company of RAGTIME. Regional credits include the title role of “Screwtape” in THE SCREWTAPE LETTERS in Chicago, “Fagin” in OLIVER, with Stephanie J. Block and Martin Vidnovic, “The Major General” in THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE, and “Cladwell B. Caldwell” in URINETOWN, both for the Weston Playhouse and “Che” in EVITA for the Santa Barbara CLO. He won Drama Logue Awards for his role as “The Typesetter” in PERSONALS for Actors Alley in North Hollywood, as well as one for the role of “Tevye” again for the Santa Barbara CLO in FIDDLER ON THE ROOF. Television Credits include recurring roles as District Attorney Jim Aoli on the Emmy winning LA LAW, Morty Friedman on ALL MY CHILDREN and Judge Tonelli on THE GUARDIAN, and has been seen on numerous others including, CHEERS, MATLOCK, BECKER, and ER.
