Parthenia Viol Consort Presents BY THE WATERS OF BABYLON
Parthenia, New York's premiere viol consort, will be in concert on Sunday, March 10 at 4:00 PM, performing By the Waters of Babylon (Al Naharot Bavel), with ARTEK vocal and instrumental ensemble at The Center for Jewish History, 15 West 16th Street in Manhattan. Al Naharot Bavel is a co-presentation of Yeshiva University Museum and Stern College for Women.
National Theatre Announces New Casting for Upcoming Season
New casting announced for the new National Theatre season. Full cast has been announced for Brian Friel's Translations including Colin Morgan and Ciaran Hinds, part of the Travelex season with thousands of tickets available at £15. Eric Kofi Abrefa and Thalissa Teixeira join Vanessa Kirby in the cast of Julie, part of the Travelex season with thousands of tickets available at £15. Sam Mendes directs The Lehman Trilogy, a co-production with Neal Street Productions, cast includes Adam Godley, Ben Miles and Simon Russell Beale. Full casting is announced for the award winning An Octoroon by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, transferring to the National Theatre in a co-production with the Orange Tree Theatre. The NT will tour to 30 venues in 27 towns and cities across the UK and Ireland, for a total of 83 playing weeks over the next year. Rufus Norris' Macbeth to tour to 18 venues across the UK and Ireland from autumn 2018. War Horse returns to the National Theatre marking the centenary of Armistice Day.

Renowned actor Derek Jacobi stars with actor/director Richard Clifford and the acclaimed early musicians of Washington DC's Folger Consort in the world premiere performances of MEASURE + DIDO, celebrating the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare's legacy. Presented by NapaShakes and Folger Shakespeare Library, this extraordinary production combines dramatic readings of William Shakespeare's Measure for Measure with excerpts from Henry Purcell's chamber opera Dido and Aeneas to create a perfect depiction of the ecstasy and excesses of love. Magnificat to Perform in Palo Alto, Berkeley and San Francisco in December
The San Francisco Early Music Society will present MAGNIFICAT in a program featuring the brilliant polychoral music of Francesco Cavalli. A Venetian Christmas Mass sets Cavalli's Missa concertata, one of his grandest and most celebratory works, in liturgical sequence for the third mass on Christmas Day interspersed with Gregorian chant, as well as sacred motets and instrumental works by Claudio Monteverdi, Massimiliano Neri, Biagio Marini and Giovanni Gabrieli.

'New Dimensions in Latin Jazz' Closes at Zinc Bar 12/2
The Sauter Piano Company begins a nationwide piano partnership with significant venues of jazz, classical and alternative music with their presentation of Sauter Omega, 220 Firebird to Zinc Bar, a small but prestigious jazz club in Greenwich Village that until now has not had an acoustic piano. In conjunction with the installation of the piano, Sauter will sponsor the renowned performance series 'New Dimensions in Latin Jazz' at Zinc Bar from November 2nd through December 2nd 2010.
