The theme of Theatricum's 42nd annual Summer Repertory Season is 'Americana,' as the company sets out to explore who we are as Americans with a mix of American plays, Shakespeare performed with an American twist, toe-tapping Americana roots and folk music, buffet dinners in the gardens and more - making Theatricum a unique destination spot for locals and visitors alike.
56th Annual Monterey Jazz Festival Celebrates an Accomplished Weekend of Historic Music
The 56th Annual Monterey Jazz Festival wrapped up Sunday, September 22 after an outstanding weekend of exceptional performances by debut artists, returning masters and new favorites. Despite rain on Saturday, September 21, 35,000 fans came through the gates of the Monterey County Fairgrounds during the weekend of September 20-22, which featured music from around the globe, and from all styles of classic and modern jazz, Latin, gospel, New Orleans, and funk, with historic conversations, three different films, and comprehensive exhibits.

Theatricum BOO-tanicum - Bucolic Theatricum Botanicum transforms into the haunted BOO-tanicum with the theater company's third annual Halloween extravaganza on Friday, October 25 @ 4 p.m. - 10 p.m. Wander Theatricum's wooded grounds in the heart of rustic Topanga Canyon, where you'll find a haunted house; ghost stories; pumpkin carving; game booths; performances by comedy improve group Off the Grid and kids singer/songwriter Peter Alsop' edibles; and things that go bump in the night. MEASURE FOR MEASURE Kicks Off Theatricum Botanicum's 2012 Summer Season, 6/2
Theatricum Botanicum's 2012 Summer Repertory Season will present four plays in repertory on its mainstage: Measure for Measure and A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare; Heartbreak House by George Bernard Shaw; and The Women of Lockerbie by Deborah Brevoort. In addition, Cherry Docs by David Gow will get six performances in Theatricum's intimate second performance space.
