Crowded Fire Theater Unveils 2016 Season
Crowded Fire Theater (CFT) Crowded Fire's newly appointed Artistic Director Mina Morita unveiled the 2016 mainstage season lineup of three contemporary plays that continue to uphold the company's long tradition of producing boundary - pushing, thought-provoking theater. At a season-announcement party on Saturday, November 14th Morita addressed Crowded Fire donors, patrons, and artists saying "At Crowded Fire, we are unafraid of tackling big issues. We commit ourselves to true experimentation of form and content to question, disrupt, or complicate comfortable notions of cultural hierarchy."
INVASION! Alters Performance Schedule Off-Broadway
INVASION! - the new play by the Swedish playwright and novelist Jonas Hassen Khemiri being presented Off-Broadway by The Play Company - will play an altered performance schedule starting Monday, February 28 at Walkerspace (46 Walker St.) in Manhattan, it has been announced by Kate Loewald, Founding Producer, and Lauren Weigel, Executive Producer of The Play Company.

INVASION!, a play by the Swedish playwright and novelist Jonas Hassen Khemiri that has enjoyed great success in numerous European productions, will receive its U.S. premiere -- presented Off-Broadway by The Play Company and directed by Erica Schmidt - with previews beginning February 9 prior to an official opening night on February 21 at Walkerspace (46 Walker Street) in Tribeca, it has been announced by Kate Loewald, Founding Producer and Lauren Weigel, Executive Producer of The Play Company.
