Edible Arrangments Teams With Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America To Serve Our Nation's Military Veterans
Edible Arrangements, theleading franchisor ofstores offeringfresh-cut fruit arrangementsand other fruit products,has expanded its commitment to military veterans and their families with a new partnership with Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA), the first and largest organization for new veterans and their families. As unemployment continues to plague many of our veterans, the partnership aims to bring career opportunities to IAVA's membership through mentorship, franchise incentives and the funding of job training programs. To kick off the partnership, Edible Arrangements will conduct a promotion this Nov. 3 through Nov. 12 to raise money for IAVA and participate with the organization in 'VetTogether' events at VA hospitals in cities across the country.

Form Theatricals (Anthony Francavilla and Zachary Laks) in association with Judson Arts presents the World-Premiere of HANDBOOK FOR AN AMERICAN REVOLUTIONARY- an explosive and hilarious study of America's modern-day Davids and Goliaths- written and performed by Matthew-Lee Erlbach ('Eager to Lose') and directed by Drama Desk nominee Tony Speciale ('Unnatural Acts'), with preview performances beginning July 19 prior to an official opening on July 22 at The Gym at Judson (243 Thompson Street, @ Washington Square South) in Manhattan.

Sony MASTERWORKS announces the signing of 4TROOPS. Their debut self-titled CD will be available on May 11th with a portion of the proceeds from the sales to benefit veteran-related organizations. Sony chose to release the album during Armed Forces Week (May 8-May 15) which honors Americans serving in all five services - Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force and Coast Guard.

The first annual Born for Broadway was held Monday, June 22nd at 8:00 p.m. at New World Stages, 340 West 50th Street, New York. Directed by Marcia Milgrom Dodge, director of the recent 'Ragtime' at the Kennedy Center with musical direction by Larry Yurman ('Grey Gardens'), Born for Broadway was a one-night celebrity cabaret, featuring both established Broadway performers as well as undiscovered talent. Proceeds benefit the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation.
