The Old Globe Announces Classical Directing Fellowships
The Old Globe has announced The Old Globe Classical Directing Fellowship, led by the Globe's Erna Finci Viterbi Artistic Director Barry Edelstein, a leading Shakespearean scholar, author, and director. Four directing fellows-Daniel Jaquez, Delicia Turner Sonnenberg, Sam White, and LA Williams-will participate in the pilot session of this new initiative. They will be in residence from Tuesday, January 22 through Friday, January 26, 2019.
BBC America Expands Record-Breaking Professional Darts Coverage
BBC AMERICA today announced the expansion of its highly successful broadcast and streaming of Professional Darts, adding the 2018/2019 World Darts Championship from London's sold-out Alexandra Palace from December 13 to January 1. The best matches of the week will air Sunday mornings from 9:00am-12:00pm ET. BBCA will stream a record 111 hours live on BBC America.com. The Final will air in primetime on BBC AMERICA on Tuesday, January 1 at 9:30pm ET following the Doctor Who New Year's Day special.
Hero Theatre to Host Maria Irene Fornes Play Festival
Hero Theatre announced today that the company's 2016/2017 season will commence with Festival Irene: Celebrating the Legacy of Maria Irene Fornes. The festival of plays will be presented as staged readings. It will include some of Fornes' most celebrated works in addition to featuring plays written by some of her students who are amongst some of the most prominent Latina/o writers in America today. Esteemed dramaturg, literary agent and founder of This Distracted Globe Consultancy, Morgan Jenness, will serve as consultant on the project.
Oregon Shakespeare Festival Launches Arts Management Fellowship
The Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF) has announced the creation of the Paul Nicholson Arts Management Fellowship, in honor of the 33-year career of OSF Executive Director Emeritus, Paul Nicholson. The fellowship is part of OSF's FAIR (Fellowships, Apprenticeships, Internships and Residencies) Experience Program, which provides more than 50 professional development opportunities annually.

OSF Recieves Insurance Payout For Losses Sustained From Beam Crisis
Executive Director Paul Nicholson reported to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival company on March 2 that the organization has received two checks from the Great American Insurance Company for losses sustained from closure of the Angus Bowmer Theatre for six weeks, beginning June 18, 2011, due to a cracked supporting beam.

Oregon Shakespeare Festival Executive Director Paul Nicholson has announced that he will retire in December 2012. The Board of Directors accepted his retirement plans at the board meeting today and has hired Greg Kandel of Management Consultants for the Arts, based in Stamford, Connecticut, to begin the search for a new executive director.

Oregon Shakespeare Festival Closes 09 Season With Record Attendance And Revenues
In what the Oregon Shakespeare Festival's Artistic Director Bill Rauch and Executive Director Paul Nicholson can only describe as amazing, OSF's 2009 season results have exceeded all expectations. Initially anticipating a slump in the 2009 season attendance and revenue, the Festival closed with record attendance of 410,034 (89% of capacity), and record revenues of $17,098,115.
