Paul Hudson's New York credits include work at BAM Next Wave/Harvey, The Irish Repertory Theater, The Juilliard School, 59E59, Oslo Elsewhere, Synaesthetic Theatre, Classical Theatre of Harlem, Mirror Rep, J Mandle Performance, The Metropolitan Theatre, Theatre Row, The Gene Frankle Theater, The Old American Can Factory, 78th St. Theater Lab, John Jay's Gerald W. Lynch Theater, the Flea, HERE Arts Center, the 45th St. Theater, and the Culture Project/45 Below, to name a few. Regionally, Mr. Hudson has had work shown at the Orlando Rep, Actor's Shakespeare Company of New Jersey, Luna Stage, the Pantages in Minneapolis, the Berkshire Theater Festival, and in Sonoma's Jack London State Park. Internationally, Mr. Hudson's work has been seen at the Salamanca International Theater Festival in Spain, The Oval House and The Talk of London in London, England, the State Theater of Lefkosia, Cyprus, the Bluma Appel in Toronto, Canada, and at various venues in Brazil, Columbia, Panama, Honduras and El Salvador. His event and concert work has taken him to Avery Fischer / David Geffen Hall, Carnegie Hall, Radio City Music Hall, Tribeca Performing Arts Center, the Puck Building, and Belvedere Castle, among others.
Mr. Hudson also has a storied past as a lighting designer, lighting director, and assistant designer in television, having worked on projects at the History Channel, CNN, Fox, ESPN, ABC, NBC, MTV, Fuse, Sci-Fi Channel, and more, ranging from on-location shoots to in-studio series.
Born in San Jose, CA, Mr. Hudson has been designing lights, based out of NYC, for well over a decade. With an MFA from NYU, he works in theater, dance, and opera, and has significant experience in television, events, and lighting-driven architectural/public art work as well. His work has been seen in New York, regionally, and internationally.
