Quintessence Theatre Extends Production of THE WINTER'S TALE and THE ALCHEMIST

Quintessence Theatre Group, Philadelphia's professional classic repertory theatre, continues Season XII: Breaking the Cycle with repertory productions of William Shakespeare’s genre-defying romance The Winter’s Tale and Ben Jonson’s satirical farce The Alchemist. By popular demand, the repertory has officially been extended through April 24th.

Quintessence Theatre Group, Philadelphia's professional classic repertory theatre, continues Season XII: Breaking the Cycle with repertory productions of William Shakespeare’s genre-defying romance The Winter’s Tale and Ben Jonson’s satirical farce The Alchemist. The repertory starts previews March 16, with an Opening Weekend Friday, March 25 and Saturday, March 26.

THE SEVEN DEADLY SINS Will Be Presented By Quintessence Theatre as a Two-Part Audio Series in June

The Seven Deadly Sins cycle has been adapted into seven short audio theatre pieces, which can be enjoyed together or separately for the most flexible listening experience. Audiences can enjoy the series directly through the Quintessence Theatre webpage, or via podcasting platforms such as Apple Podcasts, Google Play, and Spotify.

Quintessence Theatre Group Readies First-Ever Three Show Repertory

Quintessence Theatre Group, Philadelphia's professional classic repertory theatre, closes out its 10th Anniversary season with its first-ever three show repertory. From March 25-May 17, 2020 the company is presenting the Dreams and Madness Repertory. Each of these three plays explores the danger of love, the difference between dreams and madness, and the destructive power of authority and government. 

ONE MAN, TWO GUVNORS, A Swinging Sixties Romp, Closes Quintessence Theatre Group's Season

Quintessence Theatre Group in Mt. Airy is taking a swinging trip to the sixties to close out their 2019-20 season. Richard Bean's ONE MAN, TWO GUVNORS comes to the Sedgwick Theatre, running from June 5 through June 30, 2019. Press are invited to the 7:30PM performances on Saturday, June 8 or any performance afterwards.

Alabama Shakespeare Festival Begins 4/20

The Alabama Shakespeare Festival's spring repertory season will be in full bloom with the openings of two new plays, Around the World in 80 Days in the Festival Theatre and the Tony Award-winning comedy God of Carnage in the Octagon Theatre, on April 20. Both shows run through May 19. TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD Opens Tonight at Alabama Shakespeare Festival

Harper Lee's Pulitzer Prize-winning classic, To Kill a Mockingbird, will be staged at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival tonight, March 8-24. Four additional performances will take place May 12, 15, 17 and 18 during ASF's final week of the repertory season. Adapted for the stage by Christopher Sergel, the play is directed by Diana Van Fossen.
