GODFATHER OF HARLEM Adds Actor Rome Flynn as Recurring Guest Star
Premium network MGM+ has announced the casting of Emmy® award-winning actor Rome Flynn (With Love, Fantasy Football, How To Get Away With Murder) as a recurring guest star in the upcoming fourth season of Godfather of Harlem. Flynn will portray Frank Lucas; a country boy from North Carolina who ventured to Harlem and, after initial friction with gangster Bumpy Johnson, eventually rose to become Bumpy's fierce defender and right-hand man.

In addition to Forest Whitaker (The Last King of Scotland) as star and executive producer, Season Four will see the return of Ilfenesh Hadera (She’s Gotta Have It, Baywatch), Lucy Fry (Bright, Vampire Academy), Antoinette Crowe-Legacy (Geechee, Passing), and Erik LaRay Harvey (Boardwalk Empire, Luke Cage), among others.

MGM+, a premium linear channel and streaming service, announced that the contemporary sci-fi horror series FROM has been renewed for a 10-episode third season. Created and executive produced by John Griffin (Crater) and executive produced by showrunner Jeff Pinkner (Lost, Alias, Fringe), and director Jack Bender (Lost, Game of Thrones).

The 10-episode, hour-long drama series is inspired by the story of infamous crime boss Bumpy Johnson (Forest Whitaker), who in the early 1960s returned from ten years in prison to find the neighborhood he once ruled in shambles. With the streets controlled by the Italian mob, Bumpy must take on the Genovese crime family to regain control. During the brutal battle, he forms an alliance with radical preacher Malcolm X (Nigél Thatch) – catching Malcolm's political rise in the crosshairs of social upheaval and a mob war that threatens to tear the city apart. GODFATHER OF HARLEM is a collision of the criminal underworld and the civil rights movement during one of the most tumultuous times in American history.

Premium television network EPIX has greenlit an all-new original docuseries Unprotected Sets, which will premiere Friday, October 5 at 11 PM ET/PT. From executive producers Wanda Sykes and Page Hurwitz (Push It Productions), Barry Poznick, President of MGM's Unscripted Television and MGM Television, the series will take a raw, unfiltered look at stand up through the eyes of the funniest up and coming comedians from across the country. The series will shoot in Portland, San Diego, Washington, D.C., Minneapolis and Atlanta. Hurwitz will be the series showrunner.
