Mark Morris Will Be Honored By The New York Landmarks Conservancy At 2019 Living Landmarks Celebration
On November 6, 2019, The New York Landmarks Conservancy will host its 26th Living Landmarks Celebration at The Plaza. In addition to Mark Morris, this year's honorees are Carole Bailey French, Ted Mathas, H. Carl McCall, Emily K. Rafferty and Barbara & Donald Tober. The following previous honorees will also be involved: David Patrick Columbia as host, Peter Duchin and his Orchestra will provide entertainment, and Liz & Jeff Peek and Patsy & Jeff Tarr as Honorary Co-Chairs for the evening. More than 500 guests are expected to attend this 26th annual tribute.

On November 1, 2018, The New York Landmarks Conservancy will host its 25th Living Landmarks Celebration at The Plaza. In addition to Chita Rivera, this year's honorees are Stephen S. Lash, Lynden B. Miller, Liz & Jeffrey Peek, Thomas Sculco MD, Ruth Lande Shuman, Michael I. Sovern and Peter Stangl. The host for the evening is Living Landmark David Patrick Columbia, and music will be provided by Living Landmark Peter Duchin and his Orchestra. Living Landmarks Arie L. Kopelman and Leonard Lauder are Honorary Co-Chairs for the evening. More than 500 guests are expected to attend this 25th annual tribute.

Big Apple Circus Founders to Appear at What Could Be the Circus' Last Performance on 6/12
Faced with a financial crisis that threatens the organization's survival, Big Apple Circus founders Paul Binder and Michael Christensen will make a special appearance at what could be the Circus' final performance - its closing show at Cunningham Park in Queens on Sunday, June 12th, beginning at 3:00 pm. Binder and Christensen will appear in the ring, appeal to the audience for its support and thank them for their loyalty over the years. They will also be available for interviews.
National Endowment for the Arts to Award More Than $82 Million for Arts Projects Nationwide, Including Big Apple Circus
National Endowment for the Arts Chairman Jane Chu has approved more than $82 million to fund local arts projects and partnerships in the NEA's second major funding announcement for fiscal year 2016. Included in this announcement is an Art Works award of $30,000 to support Big Apple Circus' renowned community outreach programs: Clown Care®, Circus of the Senses, Big Apple Circus Embraces Autism, and Vaudeville Visits. This is the circus' third year of funding for the programs, helping to bring the arts to under-served populations for yet another season.
