Two Classic Plays. One Secret Location. This summer, a turn-of-the-century Brooklyn brownstone hosts two intimate, site-specific productions: A Midsummer Night's Dream directed by Katherine Wilkinson (Finding Avi at La Jolla Playhouse, Bloom Bloom Pow at New Georges, LORDES at the Ice Factory) invites you upstairs before the sun sets and Macbeth directed by Mikhaela Mahony (Dido of Idaho at EST, Dear Erich at New York City Opera) calls you down to the basement after dark.
9-Year-Old Dancer, Grace Roche, To Make Off-Broadway Debut In THE SIGNATURE PROJECT This Sunday
Off-Broadway's newest hit, THE SIGNATURE PROJECT, opened March 11th at the Sheen Center to unanimous rave reviews. The producers of the multi-sensory theatrical experience recently announced that different Irish dancers are scheduled to make a special guest appearance at each performance in a segment choreographed by Elise Wright of the Aherne Sheehan School of Irish Dance. The youngest of these performers, 9-year-old Grace Roche, is set to make her Off-Broadway debut at this Sunday's 3 pm matinee.
Multi-Sensory Theatrical Experience THE SIGNATURE PROJECT Opens Today At The Sheen Center
THE SIGNATURE PROJECT, a multi-sensory theatrical experience, is set to open today (Sunday) at the Sheen Center (18 Bleecker Street). The core of THE SIGNATURE PROJECT is a huge 76 ft. x 36 ft. mural layered with hidden secrets. For the past 22 years a live performance has toured the United States bringing the mural to life, with artist Patrick Dunning ingeniously weaving stories and images in the great tradition of Irish artists. Now, this play with music and dance comes to New York for its Off-Broadway premiere.
