Franklin Stage Company Awarded New Play Commission Grant

The Franklin Stage Company, Delaware County's renowned professional summer theater, has been awarded a Support for Artists Grant for the commission of a new play with a working title of Wakeman and Toliver, written by Kyle Bass. Mr. Bass is the author of Possessing Harriet, which FSC produced during their 2019 summer season.

Franklin Stage Company in Franklin, NY announced today that the company has received grant awards totalling $69,500 from the New York State Council on the Arts for 3 grants for the 2022 fiscal year. Following New York State's $105 million investment in the arts for FY2022, NYSCA has awarded more than $80 million since June 2021.

Franklin Stage Company will close its 2021 season with New York actor Evan Zes' solo show Rent Control August 27–29 outdoors on the lawn at Chapel Hall in Franklin, NY. An alternate rain space will be used inside Chapel Hall, if needed.
