IRC Announces 2020 Season

Two seldom-performed plays: one by dazzling Irish storyteller Enda Walsh, one by Pulitzer-winning American playwright Tennessee Williams, plus a remounting of the IRC's 2017 Fringe success from the grandfather of Absurdism usher in the Idiopathic Ridiculopathy Consortium's 2020 season, their 15th in the Philadelphia region.
The Players Club of Swarthmore Announces JUNIE B. JONES THE MUSICAL!

Next up on the Second Stage, The Players Club of Swarthmore's Children's Series presents, Junie B. Jones The Musical. A delightful adaptation of four of Barbara Park's best-selling books, Junie B. Jones The Musical, is brought to life in a genuinely comical (and not strictly-for kids) musical. With lyrics by Marcy Heisler and music by Zinia Goldrich, Junie B. Jones The Musical is delightfully entertaining. Meg Cranney is both the director and choreographer and Alyssa Cherewaty is the music director.      
Upper Darby Summer Stage Presents FRECKLEFACE STRAWBERRY THE MUSICAL

The uplifting musical comedy "Freckleface Strawberry The Musical" will light up Upper Darby Summer Stage. Based on the bestselling book written by actress Julianne Moore, "Freckleface Strawberry" features toe-tapping songs and dances and explores important lessons such as embracing one's differences. Performances are July 25, 26, and 27 at 10:30 a.m. and on July 26 at 7:30 p.m. at the Upper Darby Performing Arts Center.
The Irish Heritage Theatre Presents The Women of Ireland: Short Irish Classics

The Irish Heritage Theatre announces its Spring 2018 production of The Women of Ireland: Short Irish Classics. After the highly successful and critically acclaimed production of By the Bog of Cats (The Irish Heritage Theatre's first Barrymore Recommended Production) and an incredible 2016-2017 season featuring Molly Sweeney (several critics' awards including Best Actor (Female) Phindie Critics' Awards and D.C. Metro's Best Ensemble) and Making History, they turn to their next production dedicated to iconic and contemporary Irish women. This production features several short plays, all directed by women, featuring fierce female characters. The following are offered: Riders to the Sea, John Millington Synge's masterpiece, the haunting Cathleen Ni Houlihan by William Butler Yeats and the great Lady Gregory and contemporary shorts by female playwrights from Fishamble's Tiny Plays for Ireland.
