Singer Mafalda Minnozzi and guitarist Paul Ricci have broken musical ground in Brazil and Italy in a long running collaboration resulting in her notable solo career. Over time the freedom of their musical empathy overshadowed the usual larger band format resulting in a duo with its own unique language derived from both their Jazz and European upbringings and their extensive touring. Collectively they have recorded or performed with Milton Nascimento, Leny Andrade, Astrud Gilberto, Harold Vick, Sonny Fortune, Manolo Badrena, Guinga, Bebel Gilberto, Toquinho, Hugo Fattoruso, Bobby Sanabria, Dom Um Romao, Andre Mehmari, Roy Haynes, Harry Belafonte, Mike Clark and so many others.

MADtv to Hit the Stage in THE MAD SHOW in Developmental Run at Theatre Aspen
Theatre Aspen has announced a partnership with The Wheeler Opera House for the fourth annual Aspen Theatre Festival. The collaboration will support a developmental production of THE MAD SHOW, created from the twisted minds of 'the Usual Gang of Idiots' behind MAD Magazine. Beginning September 12th, the work will culminate in two presentations at the Wheeler Opera House.

Austin Haller and Kara Bliss, along with Pat Harris, will take the TexARTS cabaret stage in their show entitled Spring Forward, March 8-9 at 7:30 p.m. This trio has dazzled audiences with their interpretations of jazz standards and other musical gems from the American songbook. The Studebakers, known for their beautiful vocal blends and swinging harmonies will appear as part of The TexARTS Cabaret Series tonight, February 22 at 8p.m. Expect to rediscover those marvelous melodies from the 1920's, '30's and '40's in an evening that will feature such hits as, 'Mr. Sandman,' 'Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy' and 'Dream a Little Dream of Me.' The Studebakers have been a staple of the Austin music scene for over 20 years and are known for their fresh renditions of the classics made famous by the Andrews Sisters, Ella Fitzgerald, Louie Armstrong and others.
